All Praise goes to God

I was just thinking. Yes, I know can you believe that? It is hard to believe. Well anyways, this last Sunday for the morning service, Pastor announced that he had an announcement that he was going to make in the evening service. I was a little upset because I wasn't going to be in the service because I was in nursery. Well, I forgot that you can hear the service from the nursery. I turned it up so I could hear it. Here comes the announcement I had been waiting so patiently all day to hear. Our church got once again another donation. This time, instead of it being $10,000, this one was $50,000. Can you believe that? You should have heard us down in the nursery. We were all like, "Praise the Lord," and "Amen." What a blessing it is to know that our church isn't in debt. Last time we got a donation, we used it for the tent crusade. We could have like 5 tent crusades with that. I know that won't happen, but that would be so cool. I can't wait to see what God plans for our church. If you have any comments, I would love to hear them.

Untitled

This weekend was a fun one. It was pretty great. On Saturday, I went to Janesville. I had to get a few supplies for my graduation party and I also had to go to my grandma's house. I was just going to go there and drop off a bowl because she is cooking stuff for the party. We ended up being there for three hours. It was crazy. On Sunday, I went to church. Then I went to my friend's graduation party, then I went back to church (where I was in nursery). After nursery, I went back to my graduation party.

In Sunday School, we learned about making choices that aren't spelled out clearly in the Bible. One of the examples that we were given was what movies were right to watch, and if it was right to go to the theaters to see movies. I thought this was a very good lesson. I know that I have questioned whether or not a movie was okay to see. I guess if you have to ask if something is okay, chances are that it isn't okay. At least that is the way it seems.

It was great to work in Nursery. I had a good time. I was in there with my friend Emily and her mom. We had fun. I had all the girls sitting on my lap and by me, and we read a story about Jonah. It was fun. I enjoyed it.

Oh and for those of you who read this and go or went to East Delavan Baptist Church, Dan and Laura Fowler had their baby. A boy named Karsten James Fowler. He is adorable.

You mean to tell me . . .

22 days. Can you believe that? 22 days. Now I can just see you sitting there looking like this, complete confused as to what I may be talking about. Well, if you know me or anything about me, you should know that my favorite day of the year is July 15, which is in 22 days. Why is that my favorite day, you ask? Well, let me tell you this little story. It is quite interesting.

18, almost 19 years ago, this beautiful lady became pregnant. When she told the father of the child that she was pregnant a month into the pregnancy, he left her. About six and a half months later, she gave birth to a five pound beautiful baby girl, with a great and handsome man by her side. Now although this man wasn't the father of the baby girl, he was the only one there for her throughout her entire life.

Great story, I know. That is basically the story of my life. So needless to say, from that great literary illustration, you should all know why July 15 is my favorite day of the year. July 15 is the day in which I will finally be an adult. I could go out and get a tattoo, buy some cigarettes, and legally move out. Of course, if you know me, you would know that I would never do any of those, except move out, but not right away. I plan to finish my college education before that happens.

On a more serious note, my graduation party is next Saturday. I was a little upset today. My mom and brother were talking about what they can do with my naked baby pictures. I don't like those pictures. I never have, and I told my mom that if she displays those pictures in any way, I will leave my own party. I do not want others to see those pictures. I don't really want to be embarrassed at my own party. My mom also told me that I can't hang out with my friends all night. She said that I have to socialize. I am sorry, but I am not going to be talking to her friends. I don't even know any of them. She can talk to her friends, my dad can talk to his friends, and I can talk to my friends and family. I think that is only fair, don't you agree? Sure I'll go say thanks for coming or something small like that, but I am not going to sit there and put on a whole conversation with someone that I don't even know.

Ok, so every day, I sit at the couch at around noon waiting for the mail to come because I like getting the mail. Well, today, I just so happened to be online. I didn't get the mail when it came, but the mail man walked up to our door and brought me a pretty pink package. I opened it up and there was a card in there and a little graduation teddy bear. It was so cute. It was from my dear friend Michael. He is so sweet. I got it and it just brought a smile to my face.

Last night, I was looking through all my pictures of me as a kid, and I saw some that weren't so old, and it just made me think of all the people I miss, and there are a lot of them. I came across one of Stephanie Davis, Jessica Hollenbeck, and I at Lake Geneva. That was a very memorable day. Steph you know what I am talking about. That day, I encountered the marvelous world of empty pockets. Haha, you are probably wondering what I am talking about. Well, that day, I had my first ever Starbucks drink. Ever since then, I have been addicted, and now my pockets are empty from buying so much from that place. I can't help it though. It is really good. Strawberries and Créme Frappuccinos are so good, and so are Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccinos. Those are purely amazing. I like the Strawberry ones better. If any of you are against going broke, don't ever step into a Starbucks, and if you are like me and you have a problem, I advise you to go and get help.

Tales of a teenage babysitter

We were all kids. Therefore, no matter how good or bad we were as kids, we know how bad kids can be. Sometimes kids aren't even bad, but they tend to throw a tantrum. I know that all too well. Yesterday along with every wednesday night, I watched two little girls. Jenna is three and Myah is two. They are both really good girls . . . when they want to be. Yesterday, their mom came to pick me up at about a quarter to six. Jenna was in the car with her, and Myah was at home with her dad sleeping. Jenna was perfectly fine in the car, but once she got home, she started throwing a fit and yelling at me telling me that she doesn't like me anymore and that I am never allowed back at her house again. Of course, it all stops once she wants something. Isn't that the way everything is? Well, she told me that she wanted a snack. I told her that she had to eat dinner first. Well, she threw another fit. I was getting fed up with all of this.

After she finally agreed to eat dinner, she wanted to go outside. I told her that we couldn't because Myah was still sleeping. Jenna almost went in the room and woke Myah up. Luckily she didn't. About 10 minutes later, Myah woke up. Myah didn't want to go out. She was crabby after her nap for like 10 minutes. Finally she agreed to go outside. Well, Jenna wanted to go on the trampoline, and Myah wanted to go on the swing, neither one of them wanting to be alone. Myah needed help swinging and Jenna wanted me to go on with her. I couldn't easily do both, but I pushed Myah on the swing for a little bit, then I quickly got on the trampoline. I jumped like three times and got off quick enough to push Myah again. Now I am sure that you can see me running back and forth between a swing and a trampoline. It was pretty funny. Then Jenna wanted to swing. They only had one swing that was dry, so when Myah got off Jenna went on, but then Myah decided that she wanted to go back on, so they were fighting over it. Well, at that time, I decided that it was time to go inside. This was about eight or so. Jenna was just getting off the swing when I look down at my feet. What is this nasty stuff I see on my shoe? You guessed it, dog waste. It was so gross, and I almost started crying. I just bought the shoes last week.

When we got back in the house, I cleaned my shoes. I was not about to go on with my shoes dirty like that. There was no way in the world that I could let my shoes be like that. I took off the kids' shoes which were pretty muddy. They watched a few cartoons, Tom and Jerry, Dexter's Lab, and Scooby-Doo. Jenna then repeats her famoust question, "I want a snack." Now, it was a good time for them to have one. I opened up the cupboard and I let them pick what they want. They have their own snack cupboard, so they pick what they want, and I pick the serving size. They picked like those packs of the new cookie stick things that come in like Chips Ahoy and Oreo. Anyways, they come in packs of two, so I split it. They each got one. They were happy. Well, Myah didn't like something I said so she started the Jenna tantrum. I don't like you anymore. I bet you can take a wild guess where she got that from and get it right. Well, I wanted nothing more than to go home, but I didn't get to leave until after 11. It wasn't that bad overall. It was actually kind of fun, except for the whole shoe issue. I can't believe that happened.

Today, I went shopping for more graduation cards and party supplies. I didn't end up getting much. There wasn't really much there for supplies now. I think we probably should have gone earlier. Everything is already pretty much gone. I saw some stuff there that I wanted, but I didn't need, so I didn't buy anything that I didn't need.

I guess that is probably enough. I will probably post once or twice again before Monday, so enjoy!!!

Graduation Parties are AWESOME

I went to this AWESOME party on Saturday. It really wasn't all that much of a party. It was my best friend's graduation party. It was a lot of fun. I got there at two when it started, and I didn't end up leaving until like 11:30. There was a lot to do there.

I spent like half an hour just flipping through photo albums of Katrina throughout the years. She was such a cute little kid. We played two games of croquet. The first game I came in last, and the second game I came in second to last. I am terrible at that game. We also were going to play pole-a-roo. It isn't the real name of the game. It is what we named it. It is such a fun game, but you don't know what I am talking about, and now you never will. We jumped in the pool. It was a lot of fun to swim because it was really hot out. It started to get a little cold though.

When it got a little darker out, Katrina, Hollie, and I went into the front while others were in the back, and we smashed water balloons with tennis rackets. The balloons were thrown to us from the back yard, over the house. It was so fun. Anyways, that was my weekend. How was yours?

Take 5 McFlurries aren't good. They're GREAT!!!!

Is it just me, or do I not have a life? I never go out on Friday nights. Even my parents go out, but not me. I am such a loner. I went out today though and I had a pretty good time. I went to Payless and I got the shoes that I wanted that I posted about earlier. They are really nice. The funny thing is, I went there, and they said $13, but when the cashier rang them up, it came up $6. I was so happy. It was purely amazing. I was going to get some gum, like the multipacks, but I didn't want to because I wasn't sure if I was going to have enough for the shoes. It was $2 and it was buy one get one free. I didn't end up getting it, but I should have since I only paid $6 for the shoes. It was great. Also today, we went to McDonalds for lunch, and I got the new Take 5 McFlurry. It is SOOOOOOO good. It was really sweet, so if you are not much for sugar, I suggest you don't get it. If you do get it, and you don't like it, feel free to give it to me. I will gladly take it off of your hands. The saddest part of today was definitely the fact that I was too full for Starbucks. For those of you who know me, which is probably none of you, I am addicted to Starbucks. I couldn't do it today. I was too full from the McFlurry. That was the worst part of today. That, and the heat. It is like 1000 degrees out there. It is like a sauna in my house. It is really gross. I hope all of you have your AC on. If not, I suggest you do so soon.

Ya know what?

I have officially declared that I don't care anymore. I know that what I say in here is going to sound really bad, but I don't care about my mom not getting sleep and I don't care what my nephew does. Today, my nephew threw one of his oh so infamous tantrums. He does that so well. All this kid ever does is cry and scream. Most of the time he will also fight with you. He likes to punch and kick. In the middle of all of this chaos, I did manage to snap a cute picture.

That is my chapstick in his hands. He did manage to crush it. It is a little deformed at the moment, but it is useable. Is that even a word? I know you might be thinking that his hair is so gross, and ya know what? It really is, but it isn't sweat. His new thing now is spitting out his juice and rubbing it all over his face. That is what he did today and that is why his hair is so gross. It smells like apple, strawberry, kiwi juice. Pretty gross if you ask me. He is a slob. It is so surprising how someone's day can just change in like 20 minutes. Strange how that happens. I guess that is enough of my complaining. I just hope that things get better.

About 2 inches shorter

I just got home about ten minutes ago from getting my hair cut. Can you believe it? I have wanted my hair cut for a long time now but never really had the money for it. I have just a few pictures to show you.

Before:

The lighting in this picture is great, but do you see the hair? It is ugly. The front of my hair is longer than the back of it. The lady that cut it last time totally messed it up, and I didn't even realize it until I got home. I went back to the same place today, and had the other lady cut it. This is how it turned out.

After:

Well, as you see in this one, the lighting is terrible. The hair is pretty sweet though. I like it. As you can also see, the front is shorter than the back, which is the way that it is supposed to be. I really like it. I look like a ghost though in this picture. It is really funny.

Last night was a night of babysitting. It was kinda fun but the girls had a temper. Jenna (3 yrs) kept asking for a snack. It drove me crazy. Myah (2 yrs) wanted her way the whole night. Other than that, it was pretty good. Jenna and I made a picture for her mom and dad. It was really cute. She is really adorable.

Tomorrow, I am going SHOPPING. I love shopping. I really just nead to get a graduation present for one of my best friends. I also need to get graduation cards. That'll take up all of my money. Not really. I am also getting a new pair of shoes. My last pair of shoes before I go college clothes shopping. They are sweet pink slip on sneakers that don't need laces. Here's a picture.
I really like these shoes. They are purely awesome.
That is all I have to say.

Sunny day sweeping the clouds away

Today is a gorgeous Tuesday. Today couldn't have been better. Actually, it could have. I won't go there though. I think that my plans for tomorrow were just ruined. Tomorrow, Jamie, Katie, Katrina, and I were supposed to go play some miniature golf. I did a little weather check online and it says that it is supposed to rain. How depressing? Maybe I'll get lucky. We'll see. Either way, we are going to this huge goodwill. I thought it was so big that I want to see it. Whether or not I actually get something is a different story. We are also going to go to a really big Walmart. It is one of the biggest Walmarts in the country. We are going to check it out. Speaking of Walmart, today I went to Walmart and I got two new pairs of pants. Guess how much I paid for the pants all together. I am not going to tell you right now. I will tell you at the end of this blog. Give you a little thinking time. Also, today, I went to one of the creepiest places I have ever gone. My friends and I went to a tattoo parlor because the one driving wanted to get a tattoo. It was really creepy. I didn't really like it in there and I felt extremely uncomfortable. EXTREMELY uncomfortable. She likes the tattoo. They were all telling me how they are taking me to get a tattoo for my 18th birthday. I kept saying no. I hope they were just joking. They know that I am not like that. Tomorrow, I have to miss church. I am babysitting. I like those kids, so it shouldn't be a huge problem. Maybe I will post yet another blog while I am there after the kids fall asleep. Who knows? Anyways, I know you are all dying to know how much I spent on the pants, so here goes. . .

I only paid $6 plus tax for both pairs. A great deal I know. Sorry about all that arrow stuff. I just had to do it.

After about three days, I know you missed me

That's a lie, considering no one ever even reads my blog. I like writing them though, so it is all good.

The long list of graduation parties has started this last weekend. I was supposed to go to two parties, but I only went to one. I was going to go to one on Saturday, but my eyes have been hurting from adjusting to my new prescription. It is a lot stronger, so I am going through so much pain just to get used to them. I told her that I was sorry though and that I would give her the card at Tracy's party, which is one of our friends. She wasn't upset though. The other party that I went to was pretty fun. We were flinging cake frosting from plastic spoons. It was fun. My friend Jill's boyfriend asked for a towelette and he accidentally called it a toilet. It was hilarious. We had a good time. I was there for basically all four hours. Mine is going to be like way longer than four hours. I am kinda looking forward to my party because I want to go swimming with my friends. I don't really like swimming in a lake, but I will get over it. Here are a few things that we are going to be having at my party.

I know you probably didn't want to see the portajohn, but we really are having one at my party. The party really isn't even for me because I am having like a few people come and my parents are having like everyone they know there, so it really is more for them than for me. I will be getting gifts from them though, so it's all good. The more money I can get for college, the better.

I just want to get everything done and over with. I really want to start Maranatha. It is going to be such a change, but I know that despite all the work, I will love it. Everything about it will be different: the atmosphere, the work, the lifestyle. Everything is going to change, but for the better. I know that all you Maranatha students can't wait to see me. Haha just kidding. I have actually been talking to this girl who I met on a Blogring on Xanga who is going to Maranatha next year majoring in the same thing as I. That is so weird. It is a small world. Well, here is something that I know you all have been waiting for.

Sorry it isn't very clear. It is just the way the picture was taken. I wish it would have turned out better. The order is, from left to right: Hollie, Katrina, Me. It was overall a good night.

Pulling an all-nighter

That would be what I did last night.

Well, for starters, I graduated high school last night, and I already talked about what was going on after graduation. I went to project graduation after getting my picture taken a billion times and getting a few gifts. It wasn't worth the twenty dollars I paid to go. I was bored the whole time and all I wanted to do was go home and sleep. I was so tired. I wasn't feeling good, and I was super bored. It was a waste of time if you ask me.

When I got home at 5:30 this morning, I went to sleep. I slept till noon. It felt good. Then I did some stuff around the house, watched my nephew, and went to Delavan. While in Delavan, I got my new glasses. I have been dying with a headaches for the last like 4 and half hours because my eyes are adjusting to a new prescription. It kind of irritates me. I like them though. They are nice.

Now, I am babysitting. Actually, it is like ten at night, so I am on the computer while the kids are sleeping. I am here until about three in the morning when both of the parents get home. I will be making some decent money though.

Ok so about graduation. Everything went well. I started to get a little nervous when I went up to get my diploma. I don't like having all eyes on me. It makes me feel really weird. Anyways, it was all good. Afterwards, we went outside and took pictures, and that is when my mom tells me that the camera died. I was so mad. I was supposed to take the camera with me to project graduation, but it died so I couldn't. It turns out that she recorded the whole thing and only got one picture. How am I supposed to send friends pictures, when I don't have any pictures to send? I was so upset. I got over it though and everything was all good.

I don't have any pictures or anything here, so I will post the one that I do later when I get home.

Face it, it's the truth!

That is right! In two days, I will be a high school graduate. I know that no one ever reads these blogs, but here is a quick run through of all the events that are going to be happening within the next month or so.

First of all, you will see me in one of these.

Graduation is supposed to end around 8 or so, so after that, I will be taking pictures with friends and family.
This is the camera that I have by the way. It is purty expensive, and it will be full of pictures at the end of the night.

After the pictures are taken, I will be heading with a bunch of students to the Monte Carlo Room. The Monte Carlo Room is a big banquet hall typa thing where they had our senior banquet. There, we will have what we call "Project Graduation." There, we have a bunch of different casino typa games that we can play with fake money that they give us. One game is roulette.
I am not a gambler, but I think it'll be fun to hang out with my friends. We use the money for an auction too. It'll be pretty cool.

After that, we are coming back to the high school where we play volleyball and games like that. The night will conclude at about 5:30 the next morning.

Graduation parties are coming up like crazy. I am going to a lot. I got invited to 11, but I am not going to all of them. The main ones I am going to are on the 17th, 11th, 10th, and 24th of June. Mine is on the first of July and my friend Jessica's is on the 15th of July, which is also my 18th birthday.

That is all I have time to write. My friend Katrina is coming over, and we are going out with Jamie. I don't know what we are doing yet, but we are doing something.

The after effects of eye drops

I just got back from my eye appointment and it was like murder. I got 5 puffs of air in my eyes: three in my right eye and two in my left. I also got three eye drops in each eye to dilate them. Wanna see the effects of that?

Because they dilated my eyes and my pupils are HUGE, I have to wear these huge sunglasses because the sun pretty much kills my eyes. I hope you are prepared for this because I know you might be jealous.

I knew it!!! You all were jealous. Face it. I know you wish you could have a pair, but guess what?????? They are one of a kind. Sorry.

What do you do when school is out?

Ok so I am officially done with school. Yeah I thought when yoiu were done with school you can sleep in. Well, NO. My dad woke me up at 7:30 and told me that I can't sleep in and that if I want to live at home, I have to either clean the house, or get a job. I have been trying at the job thing for a long time now, but when my parents won't pay for my driver's ed, I am very limited. I am basically stuck around my house. Anyways, my dad better not wake me up early tomorrow or I am going to flip. I can't sit around the house bored all day. I need to get out of here. In about 15 minutes, I am going to go to my optometrist appointment. That should be tons of fun, getting a puff of air in my eye to test for glacoma or however it is spelled. I hate that puff. I hate things in my eyes. Anyways, I am going to get new glasses. That'll be great. I like getting new glasses. It is fun. Ok now I am just talking about nothing.
