I have more pictures of the precious Arianna Walker. The left one is of my nephew and her, brother and sister. How cute? He loves to give babies kisses. The right one is of me holding her. I just took it about 30 minutes ago. I am so beautiful. Ha not. The picture is supposed to be of her not me. She is the cutest little baby ever. Sorry for those of you who think otherwise. I hate to burst your bubble.

I am having some computer issues right now that may not allow me to post this properly, but I have some news. I have a niece. She was born yesterday, August 27 at 8:08 PM. Her name is Arianna Levay Ray Walker, and she is 6 lbs 11 oz. She is 20 inches long. I got to see her and hold her today. She is just the cutest little thing. I can't wait until she comes tomorrow so I can see her again. I am so excited. I held her today for about half an hour. She is really light and she didn't cry at all when I had her. It was the best. I am probably going to spoil her rotten, which isn't a good thing, but it is my job as her aunt. I have to spoil her. I am just so excited. I will probably be talking about it until forever.

Vikings update

Congrats to the Minnesota Vikings on a well earned win against the Steelers!!!

After two days of feeling terrible, I am feeling so much better. I went babysitting on Friday night and when I had gotten there, Jean (mom) told me that Jenna (3) was throwing up that morning, but she stopped at around noon. I was like okay no big deal. She was fine, but around 11 that night, I started feeling sick and I made numerous trips to the bathroom, none of which were successful. I got so close to throwing up at one point that I had called Jean to find out when they were going to be home. I got the voicemail, so I just left a message and after that I was feeling fine. My stomach still hurt but I was fine, so I sat and watched Game Show Network. How extremely boring that was. They ended up getting home at about 1:30 the next morning, and they took me home. By the time I got home, my stomach was hurting again. I couldn't sleep. It didn't help that my whole body was itching like crazy from mosquito bites. I am covered in mosquito bites. I have at least 10 per leg. It is terrible. So when I finally did get to sleep, I slept for a few hours. I woke up the next morning still feeling sick. I had a youth activity to go to yesterday, but I wasn't sure if I was going to go seeing as how I wasn't feeling good. Well, I decided that I wanted to go, but I hadn't called for a ride yet, when I got asked to babysit again. So I get picked up and Jean tells me that she was sick all day, but she can't call in to work, so she had to go, and Tim, her husband, had to work too. He was only supposed to work until 11, but he ended up having to stay a lot later. They didn't get home until 3. I was super tired by that point, but I don't like to sleep there. They have this guy living there and here's a weird story. Jean and Tim had taken him to rehab Friday for I am guessing a drug problem, and he came home yesterday. Something isn't right with that story. Anyways, he is a nice guy, but he is kinda creepy, and I didn't want to sleep when he was there, so I stayed up until 3. That caused me to miss church this morning, but I am going tonight. I am in nursery tonight, and if I am not mistaking, we have choir practice too. I am hoping to be in the choir this year. Last year was weird because I could go, then I couldn't, then I could again. It was one big mess if you ask me. Anyways, I guess that is really all I have to say. I will be at church tonight, unless I get called to babysit before I call for a ride. My parents hate when I say no to babysitting for church. They get really angry at me. I have made over 100 dollars this week though in babysitting. Not too shabby. I guess that is all.

Why?

Elkhorn is a pretty small town, yet I am terrified to be out at night. Elkhorn is a city that has a lot of kids who act like "gangsters" and there is quite a bit of drug usage here. The other night, I was riding my brother's bike. I am not 100% sure what I was doing, but I was riding through town at about 8:30 at night. It isn't too dark then, but I had people yelling stuff out of their cars and following me. I was so scared. Today, I was turning in a job application on the other side of town, so I rode my brother's bike again. It was about 7 PM. On my way there, someone drove by and yelled, "Nice bike." On my way home, the same person yelled the same thing. I am really not fond of being out at night. At least not on a bike. Yesterday I was walking, and things were fine. I don't know what to think anymore. Why do people have to be so inconsiderate? Do you like my rainbow pattern? I like it. That's all for now.

Changes are occuring everywhere

So I went to church last Sunday, and I get some news. Two families from EDBC are leaving. The Fowler's are leaving. They were unable to sell their house, so they are moving back down to Kankakee, IL. The Gibson's are also leaving. They said that they feel God is calling them to leave the church, but they aren't sure where they are going. I don't know what is going on yet so yeah.

I must correct myself from a previous post. Jonathan Mossier, our new youth leader, is transfering to Maranatha this year. My apologies go to those of you who I have confused.

I have some good news. I heard from Angelina last week. I was so happy to hear from her and for those of you that don't know already, she is going to Bob Jones this fall to get her Masters in Counseling. I am so happy for her, but I really miss her.

The last little piece of information I have is that the Vikings lost. I was so angry. I blame it on two people. The first is the coach because they could have tied up the game, went into overtime and had a chance to win. The second is Ryan Longwell. He should really go back to the packers beause he is terrible. So here's the scoop for those of you who didn't watch it. There was like a minute left in the game and the Vikings were down by three. They were playing you know like they usually do, and then the Vikings got in field goal range, but the coach didn't want the team to go any longer, so they just went for a touchdown and of course, they don't have Johnson in there as a QB so they missed it and lost. I was a little upset. I was glad to see them play though. I may be a Wisconsin girl, but I HATE the Packers. Go Vikings!!!

It took me long enough.

My week in review (as of Friday August 4).

Friday was my friend Craig's birthday, and he had a party that day. I completely regret everything I did that day because I skipped his party to hang out with another friend. I was supposed to be going out with Hollie, Mike, and Jeff, but then Jeff didn't even show up. He had to work last minute. I really feel bad that I missed Craig's party. I apologized to him, so we'll see if it works out.

Saturday I sat at home. I didn't really do anything.

Sunday, I went to church. It is so different. We have no more Saul. Our new youth leader is Jonathan Mossier (sp?). Some of you from Maranatha may know him. It is just not the same. Saul is married now, happily I hope. Nancy can't come back with him yet though because the paperwork is not done. I guess they think it is going to take until October or close to there, so they will be separated that long. Sad. That night, I went babysitting. The girls were asleep for like the first hour and a half or so that I was there, so it was pretty easy. After they woke up, they were pretty good. Unfortunately, because they woke up so late, they didn't get to bed until after I left which was after 11. It was overall a good day though.

Monday, I went to the bank . . . three times. Don't ask.

Tuesday, I watched Christian. That is all I did.

Today, I am writing this blog. I was forced to get up this morning after my nephew kept me up until three. My parents had to go to the store because my dad just found out that he has to leave for Pennsylvania for work, so he had to get stuff for around the house while he is gone. He is most likely coming back tomorrow night. It's nice to not have him around for awhile.

Tomorrow I am going out to dinner at 9:00 with Hollie, Jeff and Mike. I don't know what we will do afterwards, but we will see.

That's my week in review.
